They say that a famous author stumbled upon a cove in this interdimensional space, using it as the inspiration for his best-selling romance novel, The Nereid and the Siren. Surprisingly, after the success of his novel, the author disappeared and dwindled into obscurity. Some say he based the novel on actual creatures he witnessed from his stay and was committed to an asylum. Others say he lost his mind when he stayed in this liminal space for too long. In any case, you may just find a copy on the beach, caked from sand, abandoned by a vacationer who has long since returned home.
