Extraterrestrial Extinction Event

This is a window into an alternate Cretaceous Period where extraterrestrial lifeforms are facing certain doom as a meteor falls towards their planet. This moment captures these creatures melting and melding together in a celestial firestorm, returning to a liquid state of primordial soup.

The mural was created using a combination of joint compound and high-quality latex paint, which in combination provided both texture and durability.

The central meteor light element was hand sculpted from high-fired porcelain clay, chosen for its strength and translucent finish.

Kearin is an illustrator, muralist and ceramicist whose work focuses on storytelling, movement, and mystery. When she’s not plotting, outside painting a mural, or hanging out at Betelgeuse Betelgeuse, she can probably be found at her ceramics studio, Four Circle Studio, drawing on pottery or being a boss.
