Tattuns

The Tattuns are tiny wooden folk that lived a simple life. On most people’s accounts they are considered pretty uninteresting. Life never really vibed for Itchy and Paul, they were so incredibly bored.

Every night when their herds slept they stayed awake, exploring the lands their ancestors inhabited. They were always intrigued with an area they never could make it to and from before everyone awoke, an area beyond the purple lake and past the foam mountain.

After many nights of frustration and deliberation, they decided to say goodbye forever to their herd and see what was beyond the foam mountain. The plan was to embark on their journey the evening of the following Wookday (it’s kind of like a Wednesday, except even longer and more annoying).

They made it and they were right, they’d never have made it back before sunrise. Time was different past the purple lake and getting to the foam mountain seemed to have taken forever. When arriving a small entrance to the mountain called to them and with no hesitation they embarked on what turned into a glorious exit from this boring life they’d been living.

In this mountain made of foam, the smell was intoxicating. So tropical, so sweet, so…citrus. The deeper they went the more the walkway seemed to somehow spiral and gravity contorted. Itchy and Paul really started to feel amazing even though things began to get blurrier and walking more difficult. At a certain point the two stopped remembering until they came to sometime later. The mountain was somehow different when they awoke, darker and weirder yet still just as intoxicating. After Itchy, insisting they weren’t actually in the mountain anymore, and Paul, really not caring, they decided to embrace these new surroundings.

Now the two spend their days wandering around taking in the intoxicating fragrances of this new place chasing the feeling of when they first found it.
